Welcome to The Quiet Rich, the weekly email for a quiet mind & a rich life. I’m sending this a little early because I wanted to make sure you got your invitation for tomorrow! 👇
I can’t believe it’s already been 14 months since I left my career at Google.
Last May, I became a full-time coach, creator, and author. I’d love to help you create the same time and location freedom that I have.
So I’m hosting a free, live masterclass tomorrow about how to build your personal brand. It’s on Monday, July 13th from 12-1pm EDT. Even if you can’t make it live, add your email so I can send you the recording.
Ben Meer, Colby Kultgen and I are giving away our 7 best secrets to build a million-dollar LinkedIn profile and attract the opportunities of your dreams.
1,600+ people have already gotten their free spot. You coming? I’d absolutely love to see you there. 🙌
CONTEXT
A wonderful thing happened to me recently. I hit 1 million followers across social media. 🥹 And “younger Jade” truly wouldn’t believe where I’m at today.
People often ask how long ago I started posting online.
Honestly? 3 years. That’s it.
That's how long it took to change the entire trajectory of my career.
In 2023, I had a handful of LinkedIn connections and a ton of imposter syndrome. I truly never imagined that in such a short time, I would:
- Personally coach 1,200+ of the fastest-growing people on LinkedIn
- Get featured in big publications like Forbes and Business Insider
- Land a major book deal with one of the world’s top publishers (!!!)
- Meet dozens of bestselling authors who are now good friends
- Receive weekly invitations to speak on stages and podcasts
- Get quoted on Instagram by folks like Will Smith
- And leave Google to work for myself.
A lot can happen in 3 years, my friends.
If I was building my brand from scratch today, here are 4 things I’d tell myself:
THE 4 THINGS
1) You’re never going to feel 100% “ready.” (And that’s ok.)
I don’t think confidence is about feeling fearless. It's feeling the fear and doing it anyway.
And the fear of, “What are people going to think if I start posting like an influencer?” is so real. I would know. I sat on the sidelines for years before posting my first piece of content. Know what happened in those years?
- Someone with half my experience built a 6-figure side hustle
- Someone with fewer credentials landed my dream job
- Someone with worse writing skills got a book deal
The difference? They had a strong brand on LinkedIn. And I was still waiting to feel ready. 😅

2) Decide what you’re in this for.
You don’t just want social media followers. You want to get that big promotion. You want to attract opportunities like keynotes and Forbes articles directly to your email. You want a thriving side hustle. Maybe even write a book that hits the bestseller list.
I always tell my Archimedes members—the goal is not to have as many followers as possible. The goal is to have the right followers. The ones who love your work so much that they’ll buy anything you come out with: (A coaching session, tickets to your live event, an online course, a book, etc.)
Those are the metrics to optimize for. "Likes" are not cash.

3) You don’t need millions of followers. You just need 1,000 true fans.
That’s the first line of a lovely essay called “1,000 True Fans” by Kevin Kelly.
To earn $1 million as a creator? You just need a small and loyal audience. Think about it. 1,000 people who pay $1,000 each = $1M
And here’s the best part. No matter how ridiculously niche your interests are, there are at least 1,000 other people in the world with those same exact interests.
Even if only 1 person in a million was interested in it (and that’s a really low bar lol), that’s still at least 8,000 people.
You don’t need to be a famous celebrity to earn a living as a thought leader. Just focus on winning the hearts and minds of 1,000 true fans.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
The final (and most important) thing I’d tell myself is this:
4) Learn the shortcuts from someone whose content you love.
“Roger Federer has a coach. Oprah Winfrey has a coach. Tony Robbins has a coach. Self-made is a myth. Everyone needs guidance.” I adore that quote from Ben Meer.
Why struggle to figure it out by yourself—when someone else knows a much faster route? You could spend years struggling to get traction on LinkedIn or Instagram. Or you could learn how to do it in a few hours of coaching.
There’s someone out there who needs to know your story. I’m rooting for you to start telling it.
See you on my live call tomorrow? 🫶
Much love,
Jade
